google search

Today I want to show you some google search tricks. The first one is called “DEFINE” type define in the search field and colon “:” and then the word you wish to define, so it goes like this ‘define:guitar’ without

the quotation and hit enter. A whole bunch of guitar definition, so if you dont have a dictionary handy you can look up on the web and

get all the official description and meaning for a word.

The other neat little trick is using a google calculator. So in the

search field you can put in the formula for example, so if you dont

have a calculator handy and you know the formula for example: “7*45+200%10″ and after that click the google search and you get the results! So just like the calculator google know what you typed in and give you the answer for your computation.

Also you can use the google calculator for the convertions, let just

say for example “usd in pesos” and hit search google and it automatically gives you a specific currency convertion for your query. In the other convertion as well not just monetary convertion. You can do like for example “kg to lb”,”seconds in a week”,”seconds in a year” and it gives you the answer for that. these are one example of your query. try experimenting other convertion for this tutorial.

You may also want to know about the time for a specific country. Back

in the google search field you can type for example: “what time is it

in philippines”. Now try other countries if you want to this could be fun.

If you want to find out Local movie showtime you have that as well in google simply type the movie title in the search field and the postal code so the format would be “Ninja assassin 90210″ and hit search google and you’ll get the showtime for the movie ninja assassin for the specific postal code you’ve entered.

The last but not the least is Finding music with google. If you want to find a specific music online quickly. You can type in this long query or

string of parameters in to a search field,

example:

-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of”+”last modified”+parent directory+description+size+(wma|mp3)”title here”

In the “title here” field that is the only part of the parameters that you have to change for the specific artist of your search. So write this down exactly what I typed and see it for yourself :-)

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, So if there is something that i haven’t

listed here. Please feel free to drop a comment and add more google search tricks
